A Southbridge doe kid at 2 months old (example only)
Mr. Simpson’s story is featured on our Articles page. He is one of the very few goat judges in the South Island. Saanen goats are known for their placid temperament and excellent milk production.
Goats of this quality simply cannot be found on auction sites however hard you look. All goats will be expertly disbudded (horn buds taken out) and tattooed (for identification and registration purposes). They are all HR (the highest purebred status) and will be registered with the NZDGBA. Excellent breeding stock and suitable for showing.

There are too many people who have been discouraged after starting with “cheap goats.” Please don’t invite trouble you don’t need! They may be cheap to start off with, but may cost you far more in the long run both in money and hard work. Even if you pay a little more for a good buck, a healthy well-bred buck that gives you excellent future milkers is well worth it.
Did you know you can buy a quality purebred dairy goat for less than half the price of a purebred puppy? We think it’s crazy but that’s the fact!
Goats are highly intelligent and will become very affectionate toward humans who spend time with them. Buck kids are very capable of serving does at a very young age, so they can be used this coming autumn to service your does.
